Embedded Linux Developer – Off-Highway (m/f/d)
Job Description
As an embedded Linux developer, you are responsible for the development of embedded Linux distributions in the area of autonomous driving of mobile machinery and human machine interfaces. You are involved in the whole project cycle from the specification phase to the testing of the software at the customer.
Your Tasks:
• Development and maintenance of embedded Linux distributions for ARM-based hardware platforms
• Design, maintain, and continuously update system components such as boot loaders, Linux kernels,
device drivers, system libraries, and utilities
• System optimization such as boot time, CPU and memory load
• Commissioning of new hardware together with our electronics developers
• Support in managing our build systems
• Share knowledge and experience with our young and dynamic team
Your Profile:
• Technical degree in Computer Science (Technical University; FH Informatics, Electronics or similar)
• 3-5 years of experience with Embedded Linux Platforms
• Very good programming skills in C
• Experience with tools like GNU toolchain, Yocto, Git, Jenkins and bug-tracking tools like Jira
• Team player with a strong desire to learn new things
• Comprehensive communication skills
• Very good command of English, good command of German is a plus

We provide an attractive and performance-based salary, which is based on your qualifications and professional experience. This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade (“Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe”) and we offer a minimum salary of € 44,000.- gross per year. Actual compensation can be well above this standard.
